Callsheet for Express Interest
Art On Wheels Development Group is making expression of interest callout for artists/ art groups
in all art disciplines to participate in an exciting public art project in Darwin. Art On Wheels will
take place in September 2012.
Project Brief:
Art on wheels aims to transport contemporary art to the residential suburbs of Darwin.
Connecting artists and their practice with people’s daily activities, Art on wheels transforms a van
into a portable venue for immediate engagement by Darwin residents.
Art on wheels van will travel through eight selected suburbs in Darwin during a four-week
period. It will stop at a number of places within each suburb including shopping areas,
community parks and markets.
The interior of the van will be custom-built. The artwork can be presented in various media
forms, such as video works screened on monitors, power generated installations, audio works
played through stereos, computer programed works and face-to-face workshops and
performance.

How to apply:
Deadline: Friday 27 July 2012
• A brief of proposed work (one A4 page).
• The description of how the work fits into this project (half A4 page)
• One A4 page CV
• Images / videos of your proposed works or previous works. (images no more than 5
images. Each video clip no more than 2 mins)
